This week’s gallery theme is just perfect for me to share my lovely fitness news with you. I have been contacted by Swimathon and have happily agreed to be part of their #blogsquad #swimathon15 again. Last year you could read all my updates on my popular parenting blog All Baby Advice and more, and this year all my updates will be here on my fitness blog.
January is often known as a month when many people try to start getting fitter, and for me it is usually the month when I start properly training for some fitness challenge. Last year I was training for the 2.5km Swimathon challenge ( 1h 6 mins) and the Prague Marathon, this year I would like to take part in the 2.5km Swimathon challenge again.
The challenge for me will be to focus on my front crawl technique and swim faster. I prefer breaststroke, and completing the challenge using the front crawl would be a great tick on my “to do” fitness challenges list.
I have been taking part in Swimathon since my dad was diagnosed with cancer back in 2012. Unfortunately he lost the battle in September 2013. I am taking part this year again as I would love to help to raise some money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
