Last year I ran my second marathon. I was so excited as I went for the Prague Marathon because I am a born Czech, and finally had the chance to have my family and friends supporting me on the big day. I adore Prague, and if you are thinking of a destination for your next marathon, it should be at the top of your list. Not only as I say so, but I have just heard the news that the IAAF have awarded the Czech Republic as the best organisers of long distance running events in the whole world!
That makes me very proud, and can only confirm that I was amazed at how well the race was organised last May. I was comparing it to the London Virgin Marathon which I ran back in 2011, which was not bad, but I also have to say that Brits still have lots to learn from Czechs when it comes to organising marathons! I bet my British husband will be smiling reading this post. It does not happen every day that such a small country beats the big empire!
So please let me enjoy the moment of pride and here is the official overview of the IAAF Labels in the World!
