Plenish Cleanse #FitnessTuesday

Every January I see most of my friends and people around me going wild about keeping fit and healthy, and only wish it would last them for more than a few weeks or days. I strongly believe it should be about a long lasting life change and just about a new year’s resolution.

This is also the month my Twitter timeline fills up with updates about detox and cleansing, and having it never done before, I decided that I will start 2016 with a bang!

I was sent 2 days of raw cold pressed organic vegetable and fruit juices by Plenish (worth £119) to cleanse my body and to let you all know about my experience.

How did it go?

First of all as I have never done anything like this before, I found all the pre-cleanse and post-cleanse e-mails and information by Plenish very useful. They offered advice on what to eat/drink 3 days prior to this and also suggested what steps to take after my cleanse.

The first day of the cleanse was undoubtedly harder for me as was feeling hungry in between the juices. I was drinking approximately every 2 hours except for the last one, where there was a break between 4pm and 8pm.

I kept myself very busy on that day, and made sure I was also drinking loads of water along. This of course resulted in me spending lots of time going to the toilet, so be ready for this if you do your cleanse and don’t work from home like me.

The last juice I had on the first day of my cleanse was very rich and filling, so despite my worries about going to bed hungry and not being able to sleep, this did not happen at all, and I slept really well that night.

The second day of my cleanse went really well. I was happily sipping on juices and felt great. Undoubtedly this was also as I knew that I was half-way there, and was really looking forward to the results.

My verdict!

Thanks to the cleanse I lost 3kg. I was really surprised as the juices halved my usual calorie intake, and I did not expect to lose that much. This was not the best bit.

I really felt much more relaxed and slept really well both nights. On that day I had a lunch with my hubby, and we discussed my cleanse and our future plans to improve our eating habits, which I will be revealing in another post soon!

I was very pleased with the results from my 2 day Plenish cleanse and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I used to detox regularly before the little people arrived – just for a couple of days – and always felt amazing afterwards. This clearly worked for you Mirka – you look great! Xx

I did a BooTea tea-tox last year, and I’d definitely do a 2-day cleanse like this one. Great review Mirka, and it’s wonderful I think every now and then to cleanse the system and then start building your healthy eating foundations from a clean base!

I have never tried a juice cleanse or anything similar. I am interested though as your results sounds great after just 2 days. Will check it out a bit more but it does sound promising. xx

I’ve never done anything like this before, I always wonder about the health ‘benefits’ of not eating real food for a few days. It sounds like it really worked for you though. 🙂
