I would like to support Team Honk, who are again doing an amazing job for Comic Relief! Below you can find a selection of Social Postcards from a Kisumu Youth Football Association project. This organisation receives support from Comic Relief, that is used to provide mentoring for vunerable girls, some of which are orphaned, from low income families or living in slums.
‘For many of these kids, football is the only happy time in their weeks’ Kevin, KYFA, speaks about the effects of support #lastingchange
‘I share the knowledge I learn from this mentoring program with girls in my community that don’t go to school’ Lavender, age 18 #lastingchange
‘Thanks to this project supported by Comic Relief I now know I have a right to education’ Shamera, age 14 #lastingchange
Many girls in mentorship programs go on to become mentors themselves and share their new knowledge, rippling out #lastingchange into the community
You can show your support by sharing via your blogs and your social media channels as well as sharing my post! Thank you!
Incredible cause hun, thanks for sharing. I personally loved playing football when I was younger and then at uni-I remember at 19 my friend dated an England footballer and we had a girly holiday and he along with a lot of team were there too so I ended up playing a fun game with some of the most famous footballers in the world- my Dad was pretty impressed! Thanks for linking up to #brilliantblogposts
Are you kidding? Cannot really imagine you playing football, but well done hun!

I love seeing all the social postcards from Team Honk when they go to Africa – I’ll remember these girls as I’m suffering through the 6 hour danceathon in March!!
