Back in 2011 I ran my first marathon, the famous London Virgin Marathon. I was one of the lucky bloggers along with Maria from Very Busy Mama chosen by Nestle Pure Life Water who got us in and provided us with all their support and sponsorship. That was when my love for long running distance has started!
It was an unforgettable experience, and I was amazed how great the crowd was and loved people shouting my name. We also had a good laugh with Maria, when people mistook us for some celebrities. Nestle Pure Life Water got us places in the “green celebrity zone”, so our green numbers were suggesting we were famous. I heard a few people shouting my and Maria’s name and then asking…”Who were they?”
So this is a moment that will always remind me of colour green, which is the theme for this week’s gallery. I think many people will share their St Patrick’s photos, which by the way is on my younger daughter’s birthday.

What a wonderful achievement to have completed a marathon. I’m just getting back into running after my second baby (and a few complications). I’m a long way from fit enough to run a marathon but would love to compete one day so it’s fantastic to read an inspiring story!
Awesome stuff, well done! xx
Great take on the theme. What an achievement! xx
Amazing achievement!
Thanks Laura!
Well done on completing the marathon – such an achievement.
Rob..
Thanks Rob, very proud I did!
What an achievement. Running takes a lot of commitment and marathons, even more so. I keep wishing to do it, and I really respect those who actually do. Thanks for sharing; and for commenting on my post too. 🙂 #TheGallery
I love running marathons, might sound crazy to some people, but I love pushing my fitness boundaries!
Fantastic post and well done on completing a marathon and gaining a love of running.
Thank you, it was a great experience, and so happy my love for running is getting stronger and stronger.
