Past few weeks we have been very lucky with some pretty amazing weather. I love sunshine and heat, so you will not hear any complaints from me about the heatwave. I say “Let it last”.
The heat has not stopped me from sticking to my fitness routines and managed to continue with all my runs and pilates classes. I have made sure I go early in the morning and stay in shade and well hydrated. I actually really loved pushing myself in this heat and then coming home, covered in sweat and dying for a glass of cold water.
Gym To Swim ® Collection #SaveOurOceans
Back in June, we spent a weekend down Brighton to support my husband when taking part in the London to Brighton cycle. It would not be me if I did not use this opportunity to meet Jo from RubyMoon who has been in touch with her brand new fitness collection. Jo Godden is a former swimwear designer for Victoria’s Secret, M&S, and GapBody (for over 20 years).
RubyMoon’s Gym To Swim ® Collection is ethical, unique, sustainable and desirable. I love that the garments can be worn both for exercise and as swimwear, and are made of Xtra Life Lycra ® and chlorine resistant, durable high-quality fabric. The prints are adorable and sizing is great too.
It’s not a coincidence that this collection was released on June 8th in connection with World Oceans Day. RubyMoon understand what damage regular work out clothes are doing to our oceans and the food we eat whilst turning waste materials into beautiful garments.
100% of the net profits RubyMoon make are given to women across 13 different countries as a micro-loan to launch their business generating an income for them and their family to find a path out of poverty. How clever is that?
When we met Jo a few weeks ago and chatted about her collection, I was so proud to be supporting such a great project. Both my girls love the idea and were super happy that there is a brand that not only talks about helping and saving our oceans but it actually acts.
Well done to RubyMoon! It’s not just another fitness brand launching a new collection. They are all about saving our oceans and helping women entrepreneurs. Hopefully, many more people will start realizing how important this is and will support this too.
Go and check out their website and join the conversation and help #SaveOurOceans too.
