SockMine for Runners & Cyclists #FitnessTuesday

Many years ago, when I started running, I had no idea what running gear was about, and the only item I knew I needed were trainers.

Back then I did not even know there were different types of running shoes according to the type of feet/running style you have.

We all learn by making mistakes, and one of my biggest mistakes was to run in cotton socks! if you are a runner, you must know immediately what I am about to say. After running a few kilometres I started feeling burning pain on my feet and soon had a few blisters.

I thought it was as my feet were not used to running, and did the same mistake again. Blisters after blisters were covering my feet, and I was in despair.

Then I luckily spoke to a friend who was a runner and suggested to get some proper running socks. “What?” was my reaction! There are “running socks”????

Soon I headed to to a sports store and bought my first pair. Since then I have never made that mistake to wear cotton socks for running and always advice new runners to avoid this painful experience!

Anyway, just before summer I was sent a few pairs of running & cycling socks by SockMine. When I was browsing their website I liked the huge variety for many different occasions. Some socks are great for long distance, some for milder climate, etc.
