No Alcohol & Coffee – Venice is calling! #FitnessTuesday

In less than 3 weeks I will be on a plane to Venice, and have to be honest the nerves are starting to kick in. Have I trained enough? What to expect on the actual day? One of the things that always worry me is the weather, which is something that you cannot influence and I have to believe it will not be raining. I know it’s the end of October, so I do not expect it to be very hot, but a nice warm day would be just perfect, so fingers crossed.

Yesterday I had a long run planned, but it was raining loads, and I did not think I should do it. I will have to swap for one day this week, my last longish run, and then just a few short ones, my spinning classes and taking it easy, need to start saving the energy for the big race.

I ran 2 marathons so far, and the nerves & adrenalin on the actual race day are something I will never forget. This time it will be also a bit different as it will be just me, in a foreign country, but I am not scared. I am very excited to be part of the crowd! I speak a few foreign languages, unfortunately not Italian, but guess I will be fine, and believe there will be a few English people too, maybe even Czech, who knows!

I have also decided to completely cut out alcohol & coffee for the whole of October. This is not only part of my marathon preparation but also due to me taking part in Seven Seas Perfect7 challenge.

I can tell you now, this will not be easy as I love my wine and coffee!

But enough about me and my marathon training, how was your week? Anything you would like to share with me?

Good luck darling, and I know how much you love your coffee. Caffeine really doesn’t agree with me so I’m interested to hear how you feel when October ends, and can’t wait to hear about your new project, love you and always so proud of you x

Ooh good luck! I’m not sure I’d be able to cut out coffee, I pretty much live on it at the moment. 🙂
You sound very motivated and I’m sure you’ll do great in Venice. Can’t wait to find out how you get on. xx
