It’s hard to believe it has been almost 2 weeks since the Blogger’s Lounge Awards 2015 winners were revealed. Unfortunately I was not one of them, but I am still very proud to make it to the final and be chosen as 1 of 5 finalists from thousands of blogs.
Having been to quite a few blogging awards ceremonies during my 7 years blogging career so far I have to say that this was somehow different, and let me tell you why.
Very quickly I realised that the atmosphere was different as the bloggers that were there on that night were not parenting bloggers, but bloggers in general, from all possible categories.
This made the night very special indeed as I did not feel like a parent blogger ( which of course I am too, but on this blog), but a fitness and health blogger, and it felt good.
Finally I got to meet the very lovely Catherine from Not Dressed as Lamb, who by the way won her category ( the best fashion blogger), and whose company I enjoyed so much!
I am not going to be lying if I say I felt amazing also thanks to wearing an absolutely stunning dress gifted to me by Jacques Vert.
When I put it on at home straight after it arrived my older daughter Isabelle pronounced: “Mum, you look amazing! I think this is the nicest dress you have!”
And you know what, I did feel great and as I was still very tanned after our sunny holiday in Fuerteventura, the colour really complemented my skin colour. What do you think?
Anyway, I did not win, but I still believe it is a huge success to be one of the finalists.
This would have never happened if you, my lovely readers, did not vote for me. So this is a huge THANK YOU to all of you who spared a few seconds and pressed the “vote” button for me and for my Fitness 4 Mamas.
I have huge plans with this blog, and feel very proud that only after being live for just over a year it has already attracted so much attention.
I am very passionate about fitness and keeping healthy as a 40-year-old mama, and love sharing my advice and tips with all the mamas out there who need a little nudge and inspiration to keep healthy and fit too.
