Warm-up & Faster Recovery with NEOFIT Muscle Gels

November 7, 2018 By fitness4mamas 4 Comments

Last few months have been all about topping up my fitness routines and mainly distance of my long runs ( watch my Insta Stories). Why? I have been training for my fifth marathon, this time The Malaga Marathon on December 9th. I am so excited and have been training so hard until just a few days ago.

Unfortunately, I have spent the last few days in bed fighting a nasty cold. Not being able to run but when your body tells you to stop, you need to listen.

Whether you are an experienced marathon runner or a newbie, you will be aware that long runs are a huge part of marathon training. By long runs, I mean very long runs you would normally not do. Running a half-marathon distance feels like a short run these days, and pushing myself to run 32Km (20miles) and more in past few weeks.

After running such long distances means that my body asks me for more recovery time. But this time it is a bit different. I am not a pro athlete or anything like that. Just a normal mum who loves running, and from time to time pushes herself to run a marathon.

Previously when I was training for a marathon, I never used any pre-workout or post-workout gels. Now I see how big a mistake it was. It is so simple. Just to spend a few extra minutes before your workout to massage your muscles to get them ready, and the same after doing my exercises. Why wasn’t I doing it?

NEOFIT MUSCLE GELS

Last August I was contacted by Yassin from NeoFit, who has developed 2 workout muscle gels and wanted me to try them out and let him know what I thought of these. I thought it would be nice to see if these were actually doing anything for my body. After using these for a few weeks, I am so pleased to say that they definitely had a huge impact on my runs and recovery.

Both gels are very easy to apply on my skin, feel non-sticky and absorb super quickly. I love the smell and have easily got used to my pre & post workout massaging routines. How could I not enjoy the warm sensation spreading across my tired muscles afterwards? So relaxing after a great workout! ⠀

When I wasn’t sore after one of my first longer runs, I wanted to find out if it would be the same after the next and the next… And it was. I knew that it was not just a one-off and that NeoFit definitely helps me with recovering faster. I can highly recommend using both these gels to any fitness enthusiast who wants to look after their body and treat them right.
