Some of you might say it’s easily said than done, but kids love being active, and that is just another reason why you should be too.
During all school holidays we all have to say goodbye to attending our usual fitness classes, as we either do not have anyone who would look after our little ones or the classes are canceled as the instructors are mums and have nobody to take care of their kids.
The only way to keep your fitness levels up is to exercise with your kids. I am very please that our isabelle is more and more into running, and know that now as we are back from our holidays in Tenerife, I will grab my running buggy with olivia and we all will go for a nice run along the canal before the school starts again. We will stop to explore, feed the ducks and of course a playtime at the swings, and then run back. It’s that easy!
We will also go swimming, but hoping daddy will help with that as I need to continue swimming as the big Swimathon challenge is getting closer! It’s actually this Saturday!
Just before the Easter holiday Isabelle was sent a new pair of running trainers, Nike Revolution 2 Running Trainers (RRP £28), and absolutely loves them. Of course the most important thing for her is the colours, but she also appreciates the velcro fastening as sometimes she can get annoyed with tying her shoelaces with a double knot when we go running, and then undoing them. This is a great solution, and she slips in and out of them very quickly!
They seem really comfortable and lightweight too, which for me as a mum is the most important thing.
