Swimming has been one of my favourite sports since I was a little girl. Being pregnant did not stop me from keeping fit and swimming. When I was pregnant with my second child and really was trying to keep fit and not to pile on weight like with my older daughter, swimming was the best way to do so.
You might laugh but will never forget how closely the life guards were watching me when I was about 39 weeks pregnant and was swimming my 80 lengths! I am not suggesting this is what everybody should do, check with your doctor and also make sure swim only as much as your body is used to, don’t start breaking olympic records when pregnant!
Anyway, some of you might suggest that there are not that many nice maternity swimming costumes. You are wrong!
Splash About has recently launched OnBoard, it’s first collection of maternity swimwear; tailored to fit and flatter, shape and support perfectly throughout all stages of pregnancy, from first trimester to full term.
Available initially in two designs – an asymmetric and halter neck style – and manufactured from high quality Nylon Lycra, OnBoard swimwear provides essential support, with an internal bra and ruching at the sides to support a changing body shape at every stage of pregnancy.
The range is chlorine resistant and designed not to fade in the sun, available now in UK sizes 10-16.
I can tell you that if I was pregnant again, I would have to get all of them as they are adorable! Love all the colours and styles!
Splash About have been very kind and are offering one of you lovely mamas a maternity swimming costume of your choice!
